The European Commission's decision on Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard will be delayed
It seems that Microsoft has confused the European Commission because of its deals that increased the chance of accepting its acquisition of Activision Blizzard, which is the purchase of the rights to the Call of Duty game for a period of ten years, as well as a ten-year partnership deal with the Boosteroid cloud service to bring Xbox games to it, It also made deals with third party game company like Nintendo to offer the rights to Call of Duty to it,To avoid the argument of a monopoly of the Call of Duty series,.
and according to Reuters, all these deals made the committee postpone the date of its decision from April 25 to May 22. The reason the committee mentioned is that a deal worth $69 billion does not. Wrong judgment is desirable, so the committee decided to take their rest and postpone the period of announcing the decision.
Will Microsoft achieve its goal with the success of the deal despite all the problems related to Sony’s rejection of this deal under the pretext of monopoly, or will the deal not take place and fail miserably?
