Does Game Pass negatively affect game sales?

 Gamingindustry published a report on the impact of the Xbox Game Pass service on the original games, as the service reduces the sales of the original game by an unknown percentage. The report also mentioned that Activision was not confident about any subscription service on all platforms because of its impact on the sales of the original game, Especially on recently released games

 but Phil Spencer, CEO of Xbox denies this saying that the service boosts game sales more.
